History

The brief and profound history of Apostle William Seymour and the Azusa Street Mission is found in the book "Thy Kingdom Come Volume I &II."

Bishop C.H. Mason (above) & Bishop A.B. McEwen (below)

Out of this Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Spirit came men as Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, Bishop D. J. Young, Bishop A. B. McEwen and others, who gave birth to great church assemblies, such as: Church of God In Christ, Assemblies of God, Church of God, Church of Christ Holiness etc .... The central aim of these churches were to contend for and preserve the faith which were given and taught to the saints in the days of the Apostles. The great impetus of this movement touched the life of Bishop J. L. Payne under the ministry of the late Bishop A. B. McEwen, the first Chairman of the Board of the Church of God in Christ.
Bishop A.B. McEwen, DD LLD PhD

J. L. Payne, D.D. PhD

Bishop Payne received the baptism of the Holy Ghost as spoken of in the book of Acts and began spreading the Gospel across the Nation and the World. After establishing seven churches, beginning from the islands of Hawaii to Memphis, Tennessee. In 1986, He and several ministers formed and organized the International Churches in Jackson, Mississippi to serve the several churches established in Mississippi and several other states.

After a few years it became an increasing demand to meet the needs of local churches and ministers worldwide. Such growth of the Fellowship have included several Founders of ministries and churches world wide who have united their efforts in ministry with the Christ Churches International, and formed an Unified Church based on the New Testament Order, Structure, Apostle faith ministry in the past century.
