Prophecy

Prophecy: "There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." "Let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:2, 16.

It is a historical fact that Jerusalem was destroyed in A.D. 70 by the Roman warrior Titus.

In the destruction of Jerusalem, there was a message and symbol of the world falling into unbelief and rebellion, and hastening on the judgment of God upon the earth. The woes of a fallen civilization and its sins, forced the Prophets with the,  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" Matthew 24:37

Our Lord saw the sins in human race filled with misery, tears, and blood; The very heart of was moved with infinite pity for the afflicted and suffering humanity of earth; that God yearned to relieve and save us...that the destruction in His hand  might be turn back and salvation would come unto mankind.
